None like mother who first loved me in this world, None like mother who taught me to love by her example, No one like her who was intimately close to me. She knew of my presence before all except God her maker. She showed me the first smile That smile lit up my eyes like a spotlight on the face of a wildcat. I remember your hands, so comforting and assuring. Those hands that were so soft like a comforter And yet, she wouldn’t use them to wipe my little running nose. For her love, I thank her. On this day, I offer prayers for her. On Mother’s Day, I renew my commitment to be her pride. For her, I praise God.
